A creative and charitable Sinclair club was recently featured in the Long Island Press.
Cleverly dubbed The Knit Wits, this group of residents gathers every Wednesday to chat, offer encouragement and knitting tips, and create handmade items to donate. This season, the group donated five large bins of coats, hats, scarves and blankets to the local Jewish Community Center. This project began over a decade ago, when a yarn donation inspired a group of residents to teach knitting as a form of group therapy, and this group has now found a home at The Sinclair.
